When you post a case, you enter the client's ZIP code and the maximum travel time you are willing to pay for (up to 40 minutes). SHMerapy instantly shows you therapists whose home ZIP code is within that driving distance and whose own travel time preference matches. Every result is sorted by proximity so your closest matches appear first.

What does SHMerapy cost for agencies?

Agencies pay a flat monthly subscription of $375. This gives you unlimited case postings, access to the full therapist network, in-app messaging, and your agency dashboard. There are no per-hire fees or long-term contracts.

What credentials can I search for?

You can filter by RBT (Registered Behavior Technician), BCaBA (Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst), and BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst). Each therapist's credential is verified during registration.

Can I message a therapist before inviting them to a case?

Yes. You can view any therapist's public profile and send them a direct message through the platform before sending a formal case invitation.

What happens after I send a case invitation?

The therapist receives a notification and can accept or decline. If they accept, the case status updates to Filled and the therapist appears in your active roster. You can then message them directly to coordinate scheduling.

How do I control how far I travel to cases?

During registration and on your profile, you set your Maximum Travel Time — the longest commute you are willing to accept. You choose from 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, or 40 minutes. You will only ever be shown cases and receive invitations for cases within your chosen travel time from your home ZIP code.

Yes. Creating a therapist profile and receiving case invitations is completely free. SHMerapy is funded by agency subscriptions.

Yes. You can accept cases from multiple agencies simultaneously. Your profile shows your total active case count.

What credentials are supported?

SHMerapy supports RBT, BCaBA, and BCBA credentials. You select your credential during registration and it appears as a badge on your profile.

Can I turn off new invitations if I am at capacity?

Yes. Your profile has an "Accepting Cases" toggle. When turned off, you will not appear in agency match results and will not receive new invitations until you turn it back on.

How do I find an ABA provider for my child?

Visit our Find Services page and fill out a short intake form with your child's age, ZIP code, insurance type, and therapy needs. We will match you with vetted ABA agencies in your area and they will contact you within 24 hours.
